Hire Services

Swade Music has some instruments for hire. Please phone or email to enquire about availability. It is necessary to come to the shop to complete hire formalities and collect the instrument.

Digital piano daily hire

A digital piano is available for hire within the Swale Council area. The hire rate is:

£60 for 24 hours including delivery and collection.

£30 per subsequent 24 hour period

The hired instrument is your responsibility. You are responsible for any accidental damage or theft. You must insure the instrument against loss or theft. We will normally require an impression of your credit or debit card as a guarantee should the hired piano be damaged or stolen.

Instrument Hire for four months

 General

Hire instruments cannot normally be purchased.  Swade Music will determine the make of instrument hired. Swade Music require official proof of identity such as driving licence or passport, and proof of address such as a recent gas or electricity bill when you come to hire an instrument. We may ask for proof that you are over the age of 18. We reserve the right to refuse to hire an instrument without giving a reason. Payment will be by cash, building society cheque, or an agreed credit or debit card.

A reminder of the return date will not be sent. If you do not return the instrument by the return date then you will be liable to pay Swade Music the full retail price of the instrument. The hired instrument is your responsibility. You are responsible for any accidental damage or theft. You must insure the instrument against loss or theft. The hired instrument is the property of Swade Music and can never become your property. You must not sell or dispose of the instrument. You must notify Swade Music immediately in writing of any change of address.

Hire fee                      non refundable

The hire period is four months. It cannot be extended. You may terminate the rental before four months. The hire fee payable in advance is not refundable.

Deposit                       refundable on return of instrument in good condition

You must return the instrument on or before the return date in good condition. Swade Music will refund your deposit, less any deduction for any damage. A cheque will be sent by post within seven days of the return of the instrument.
